Not every pre-formal needs thirty people and a marquee. This one was a single family on the Benowa waterfront — the graduate, her sister and her parents — photographed in the hour before the cars arrived.

Pre-formal photos with just your family

Small sessions like this are often the better option. There's no waiting for a group of forty to be herded into position, no one blinking in the back row, and far more time for the photos that actually get framed: the graduate with each parent, the sibling shots, the portraits on their own. An hour is plenty.
