I'm a professional photographer based in Mermaid Beach, shooting weddings, family portraits, corporate events, school pre-formals and birthday celebrations across the Gold Coast, Tweed Coast and Brisbane. Over ten years and more than a hundred events.

How I work

My background is in psychology, which turns out to be more useful behind a camera than you'd expect. Most people are uncomfortable being photographed, so my job in the first ten minutes is usually to take that edge off — I talk to people at their level, I'm not precious about it, and I'd rather have a real laugh than a good pose. Things also change on the day. Timelines slip, weather turns, someone's running late. I work around it rather than making it a problem.

What your get

Your full gallery within seven days. Most photographers on the Gold Coast take two to four weeks. Roughly 40-50 edited high-resolution images per hour of coverage, delivered by secure download along with a shareable online gallery.

Equipment and backup

I shoot on two Nikon bodies, which means a camera failure on the day isn't a problem — there's always a second one on my shoulder. Multiple off-camera flashes (SB-900 and SB-700) with a Rogue FlashBender for softer light indoors and after dark, so dim reception rooms and evening events aren't a limitation.

Regularly working across Broadbeach, Coolangatta, Brisbane, and throughout the Gold Coast Hinterland. I’m happy to shoot anywhere that matters to you.
